The Condoriri massif, the highest peak in the area is Cabeza del Cóndor (5648 m), which is also one of the most demanding peaks in the massif. Head of the condor is also known as Condoriri and is known as «the Matterhorn of Bolivia» for its pointed peak.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Early departure from La Paz to the rinconada ranch where the vehicle drops us off. Then, after rounding up a team of llamas or mules for our gear, we have a 2 hour trek to the Chiar Khota Lagoon (4,630m), where we will set up our base camp.

Day 2.- This is the day we have been waiting for! We will have another alpine start, as it is a long day to reach the summit of the Cabeza del Condor. The terrain begins on very loose rock until we reach the ice. The ascent starts relatively gently until we enter into an ice canyon where the climb becomes more technical. Once we reach the summit, we will return by the same route to our base camp.

Day 3: In the morning we will pack up camp and begin the return to the rinconada where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to La Paz.
