Pequeño Alpamayo 5425m (4 days).

This peak is impressive, beautiful, and justifiably popular. From base camp, you can see only the top part of the summit, but the view of the mountain from Pico Tarija is awesome. The pyramid of snow and rock looks much harder to climb than it is and the ridgeline up the summit is one of the most aesthetic lines in Bolivia.

Day 1: On this day we will begin with an early departure from La Paz and will drive to the rinconada ranch where the vehicle will drop us off. Then, after rounding up a team of llamas or mules for our gear, we have a 2-hour trek to the Chiar Khota Lake (4,630m), where we will set up our base camp.

Day 2.- Pico Austria. This ascension through the moraines takes about 4 hours, the view from the summit of Peak Austria are impressive, you can watch the entire massif Condoriri and more.

Day 3.- We will begin our summit day with an early departure (5.00am). Our first route is to climb the Pico Tarija (5,300m) beyond which we will continue down then back up to PEQUEÑO ALPAMAYO (5,425m).

Day 4.- In the morning we will pack up camp and begin the return to the rinconada where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to La Paz.
