Chacaltaya

This peculiar mountain is located at 5,400 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains Range, just 30 kilometers from La Paz city.

Around the former ski slope (once the higest in the world) we have an ideal place for hiking and also for altitude acclimatization, for those who want to practice mountainclimbing.

From its summit we will be overlooking the Cordillera Real with breathtaking views of the mountain range and while ascending we can see picturesque lakes formed by the thawing of ice.
